To me the most interesting aspect of this photo is that it is impossible to tell on the basis of it what time of day it is.
Except of course when you know the exact location where it was taken and the direction.
Partly it is due to the colours: they are unnatural. Or should I say astonishingly natural?
When you look at the photo your eyes are not blinded. So the way the (cell phone-) camera observes is very much like the human eyes do, one eye that is. If the camera (instead) made some kind of painting-like image the factory would not be completely black. Nor would there be this kind of halo around the star!
I would be interested to hear from the designers of the (Samsung) camera software how this halo is created.
OTOH: I will not actively seek for this information.
