Sensationally educational. Painting is a verb here!
This is kind of a sequel to last week’s post: ‘Chalk on black paper‘. About a year ago I made the painting on the right. (Here, the blogpost after observing it at sunset!).
Now I am painting on another wall and a door. While I am doing that, I contemplate about the similarities and differences with oilpainting on canvas. Really suprisingly educational.
The similarities in the technique of painting itself are very limited. The interesting part is that here too I am not just thinking about ‘how does this or that look like exactly’, or ‘how does this appear on the retina of viewers’, but more about ‘how do their optical brains’ deal with it?
Very nice.
